Your Future Self Will Thank You

My name is Sara Doell and I am a CLCC certified life coach; a graduate of the 2020 class. I also had the honor of serving as a mentor coach for CLCC in 2021.I am excited to announce that in 2020, I completed my first book. Your Future Self Will Thank You was self-published on Amazon on June 15, 2021.

This guide to living a life you desire is steeped in my experience and knowledge gained through being raised by a mother who suffered from bipolar disorder, coming out of the closet at a young age, and competing as a collegiate student-athlete at the Division 1 level. I draw from my experiences of guiding young women through and beyond their college experience as their Division 1 collegiate golf coach, earning a life coach certification, starting a business during a pandemic, and grappling with the emotions around my mother dying of cancer.Starting with a letter to my 13-year-old self and then diving into 18 life lessons, the book provides a “how to” guide for the reader to make small changes that can help mold their future. Each lesson is accompanied with a journal page and prompt questions for reflection and an opportunity to create new habits, processes, and intentions. The journey concludes with a letter to my 80-year-old self.

Your Future Self Will Thank You provides a simple yet effective holistic guide to life that touches on many topics including movement, health, relationships, authenticity, and making intentional daily choices while always keeping your future self in mind. The reader gains tips on creating a safe and comfortable living space, creative ways to move their body, how to live an authentic and genuine life, as well as when it is okay to walk away from a friendship. Through a mix of serious and difficult stories as well as levity, humor, and a touch of sarcasm, I lead the reader on a winding path to help define their “future you.”
